Why Write?
I have worked as a writer for over seven years. My work mostly involves shaping voices, creating narratives, and helping clients articulate the underlying sentiment behind their vision. That sentiment has been, in my experience, almost always a desire to connect with others from the place in which we fear we might be the most alone. We build careers, industries, and entire ways of being, to try and prove to the world, and to ourselves, that we are not. Writing, and the work I do with others, is a way of noticing that loneliness, holding it without flattening it, and tracing how it yearns. From those edges, fragments of what might be brilliance often emerge.
Projects & Clients
Mental Health Work: Paracelsus Recovery
Throughout my career, Paracelsus Recovery has been the primary focus of my writing. I serve as their Content Specialist, and my work has involved shaping tone, voice, and vision. I try to create content that meets clients where they are, and provide clarity to spaces that are disorienting or isolating. Writing here is attentive to the unsayable and uncomfortable.
Column Work: The Holland Times
I write a monthly psychoanalytic column for The Holland Times, exploring desire, shame, anxiety, and the unseen patterns that guide our lives. It focuses on whatever topic I am at-that-moment itching to understand.
If you’re curious about collaborating, I would love to hear from you. Work that leans into those uncomfortable truths which coat our experience of ourselves is always of interest.
